
The Restart Foundation has welcomed Robert Brinkley CMG as an official patron. Robert, who served as the British Ambassador to Ukraine from 2002 to 2006, brings decades of diplomatic expertise and a strong commitment to the country.
During his ambassadorship, Robert witnessed significant events in Ukraine’s history, including the Orange Revolution. His 34-year diplomatic career also included postings in Pakistan, Russia, and Germany. Since retiring from diplomatic service, Brinkley has continued his dedication to Ukraine through various academic and charitable initiatives.
He is an honorary senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University and has held leadership positions at organizations such as the Ukrainian Institute London, Chatham House Ukraine Forum, and the BEARR Trust, underscoring his ongoing contributions to Ukrainian studies and humanitarian efforts.
Now based in Scotland, Robert Brinkley remains actively involved in cultural and charitable endeavors, including supporting several organizations focused on Eastern Europe and democratic development. His deep understanding of Ukraine and his extensive diplomatic experience will be invaluable to the Restart Foundation as it works to support mental health and resilience in the region.
